solved now the filter is working again and is available by refreshing the gmic filters


the ARGGHH because the filter, my last the SteamPunk pencil 2, is still broken, now in my local copy to be broken is only the preview, i fear i must ask help to fix or at least to decipher the misterious error message.

so the sucess is only for the results even with a still broken preview

well here just to show how the image size modify the final result, here i used similar setting setting but the first was first scaled down then edited, while second image was edited at original size (about the double, was 1600 wide ) and then scaled down

where the difference is a edge layer (gradient norm on the original) on top in screen mode
The problem to automatize is that for a nice effect in the edge layer most of gray should become fully black (without concern for clipping) and only the whitest pixels preserved, quite easy do manually but i still have problem to automatize it.

humm maybe i may just create and then call a preset for curve or level...

and to fix the preview

2 weeks lost and the only problem in the code was a missing "-" , but anyway i am glad to have solved
I was just posting a help request for David and the gmic group, then before click submit, i decided to give a last look and ... that solved!

Now after so much delay i will go for the color version
