Cool.

Does the video start from the beginning of Gimp startup? I have an animated gif as my splash but it doesn't start until Gimp loads some of its tools. So for about half the time the splash is displayed it is animated.

Real cool PC!

I know how to use the main splash in share/gimp/2.0/images folder as an animation also.
save it as an animated PNG extension. Better make sure it is a small file though. :)

The animation will not run correctly in sync until the script-fu launches. :)
But if you are like me and have masses of scripts then it will play for quite a while after. (starting extensions) :P

I normally get to watch mine for 10-22 seconds.
