"What is your name, girl?" I asked the jester.

"Oh, I don't have a name" she answered happily. "Names are slippery buggers you see. Slips right off me they do, never seem to want to hang around for long."

She put her head in her hands and peered at me. "Ooooh, I know!" she said, "why dontcha name me? If you name me I'm sure the name will stick around for a while."

"I don't know..."

"Aww, come now, you don't get to name a fool every day!"

I looked at her. She looked back with that mirthful face of hers. Inspiration struck. "Then I shall name you ... Mirth" I said.

A lot of experimenting with light in this one. Critique and feedback is appreciated as always.

You are the master with light and shadow as I told you many times before Griatch. Like her current name too. ;)

Sorry Griatch, I can't find anything to criticize. An excellent piece of work!

Gorgeous. Hard to find something to say... but well, I'm French and have to live up to our reputation, so:
- The eyebrows look a bit too cared for and are thus a bit inconsistent with the hairstyle
- The upper lip is a bit thin.

I do appreciate this bell-cap fetish of yours...

Stunning! I'm always amazed with your work.

I think the lips are fine but I agree with ofnuts about the eyebrows being too neat.

Wow, I'm always amazed when I see the artistic talent of others. Probably, because I don't have any talent myself.

Excellent work. How long did it take, and do you have professional training?

This is totally awesome.....funny I didn't notice the eyebrows til they pointed it out but yes..to defined and clear compared to the rest of this gorgeous picture.

Truly a mighty piece of work, thank you for sharing.

This is my favorite of all your "people", I love the inner joy that show through her eyes and expression. And yes, I had never noticed the eyebrows until it was mentioned, and they could be roughed up a wee bit.

Thanks everyone for the comments and feedback!

@ofnuts:
I'm pretty sure the upper lip does look like this when stretched across one's teeth in such a broad smile. I see your point about the eyebrows contra her wild hairdue though; I'll try to lower the intensity a bit, but the eyebrows have always looked like this for this character so I can't change very much. :)

This one took a few days of sporadic work, maybe something like 18 hours in total. I painted in oils for a long time before starting to work on the computer, but I'm just a happy amateur. :)

You're right about the lips, they do become thinner when grinning.
