Wild Grass and Orange Flowers

I'm not exactly sure what type of flowers the orange ones are. Note: Photos were enhanced with Gimp and G'mic.

The flowers are beautiful but I prefer the not so obvious - the subtle colouring in the grass. The grass photo is excellent!

Yes, there is something serene about the wild grass photo.

Here's an old friend; my kids used to climb this tree when they were children.

The orange flowers might be indian paintbrush but it's hard to tell from them being so close.

Could be... It's a very old wood, probably one of the oldest parts of Swindon, and most of the trees in it are very old. There are a few younger ones growing in the lighter areas though.

Neat thought: If that tree really is 200 years old, it predates any means by which to capture its image other than simply drawing or painting it.

I can't wait to see what you come up with!
Here's two more. One is enhanced with G'mic PhotoIllustration filter, and the other also has the Color Abstraction filter set to Grain Merge (opacity 65.7%). The second one makes the Green of the leaf look metallic.

Thanks. I just love taking shots of nature. Too bad I can't seem to remember the names of flowers like I used to. I couldn't even remember the white flowers were daisies until you and Erisian mentioned it!

I missed the buttercups last time I looked. I like the top leaf best, it seems to be glowing.
