the Money Pit; no one's been able to figure what lies beneath it. Heard varying stories from the Knights Templar, to Ancient Aliens. Wonder what you think PC?

Well any story i heard about doesn't sound right ... about the treasure to Knights Templar and Ancient Aliens , we may add Vikings, Egyptians , Bacon (the treasure may be the original Bacon's manuscripts of all Shakespeare works, because obviously was Bacon the true author, Shakespeare was just the front man ), Arabs and Pirates ,all kind of pirates :
apparently all the most famous pirates went one by one and with the maximum secrecy on this island to bury their treasures (At least this would explain the many layers..each Pirate added is layer of treasure )
... oppss, i almost forgot poor French Queen Marie Antoinette, well not exactly her but her beauty case with all the royal jewels , carried by her maid in a secret mission a few before the arrest and decapitation of Marie Antoinette
But somehow not one of this theory seems supported if not by evidences at least by a good screenplay
The fact that is a similar tiny slim island, no much higher then the sea level any deep hole may easily get flooded doesn't surprise me much ..i am not a geologist but i would be much surprised by the contrary even more because the first digging was done very close to the beach...and..did you never try to dig holes in the sand of a beach ? you would be much surprised if they get flooded ?

the Money PitHumm... suppose was a natural sinkhole with connected natural galleries and cavities...now on that island was really nothing else worth of interest so seems natural that the sinkhole attracted the curiosity of any visitors could have ventured till there also because was nothing else worth a look
And since a place was there they also used as storage , or as a captain hiding place where he hide to drink his gin without have to share with all the rest of a crew ...or what else,
But the material around was too frail to support the additional stress from human activity and so partially ruined...and ,or because buried there or because deluded by the failure and by crappy island in general they give up and left (if were not all buried in the sinkhole depths)
then was the turn for somebody else to come on the Island . see a strange hole with rest of some human activity all around, get curios and start to explore and maybe use the sinkhole ... that so collapsed again even more
So they too left deluded
and so on and on and on...
