I saw a really basic PS tutorial here http://psdartist.com/2011/03/cylinder-icon-tutorial/ and decided to play around a bit. I kept tweaking and changing things, ran a couple of different gloss filters to get some reflected light effects, started over, tried the Plastic & Glass filter a couple of times using different parameters. It started to look better so I kept fooling around with it keeping some of the layers and deleted others just seeing what I could come up with.

These two seemed to come out the best.

Really like the first one, the second one with some different colours could almost be a fruit gum sweet

draconian: they look really nice, but what are they? what does "tuit" stand for? Image
* shows off her swedish ignorance as usual*
i agree with he4rty that the glass one would look very edible in red or purple, but i also thought of the scented soap bars i made with two of my sisters once - lovely memories :).

I love the first 'round tuit'...it looks like a chewable pill...so maybe if I eat 'a round tuit', I will stop being such a procrastinator.
