I think this one looks a little awkward, since Maiko is a head with feet and arms. xD

I used ChrisF's fur bush for the body, and the bristles brush that comes with Gimp for the tail.



I hope somebody likes this one too!

Excellent work again and the orangey colouring of the fur is lovely.

mokonafan: i don't think you could ever bore me . and i love your furry friends, fun to see them in the close up, realistic style!

i think you're really getting good at the fur thing, looks really great now, the part around the ear especially, so soft looking. as usual i'm impressed by the eye and i like the little details like the flower and bow. i can agree the close up of a creature that's just a head with arms and tail looks a bit awkward, but that's more maiko's problem than yours. hope someone else steps in and gives you some good suggestins for improvement because frankly i'm too impressed to see what should be improved!

The only thing I can offer as critique would be that some of the fur edges, such as along the bottom and side of the eye, could be a bit more random looking as it seems a bit to 'regular'

the red-orange hair looks very very good and the whole piece looks very professional

If I may offer some feedback, I would suggest breaking up the use of your fur-brush a bit more, notably along the edge of the eye - the fur-strands look a bit too even, try applying some strands manually as well.

Nice work Moko, you are certainly developing your own style here.

Gah! I was hoping nobody would notice that. D: When I was fixing the eye I couldn't get the right colors so I tried to blend it w/o being noticeable so I only went in a straight-ish line. D:..Guess people noticed it! :\



Aha, thank you AnMal! I've always had an odd thing with eyes, my mother used to always say they are scarey like they are looking at her, even when I was little. LOL xD...I guess that's a good thing since people like my eyes now! =P
I'm starting to really get in to the hang of the fur thing, I'm learning each time I draw a new one!
I have 2 Characters with Feathers...That's gonna be a blast.

Atm I think my only chance is to write a nice story with these characters and people like it. LOL
I want to be like Mark Crilley, but idk if that will ever happen but you never know! XD

As for the fur, that's not the hard part, the hard part is shading it and making the eye and other non furry things look like they belong there!
