Hi guys,
I was working on some parrot images when I noticed the shape of the parrot was similar to a paisley.
I thought about AnMal's comment about being exotic and her love of paisley.
A short time later...

Lovely. When AnMal comes back to us she will be stunned by these! I'm a paisley fan myself so I adore these.

@Erisian: AnMal is away?
I was pretty happy with my first attempt at Paisley. Who knows, maybe the paisley bug will bite, and I am a fan in the making ;)

Thanks for the replies.

Fluffybunny - lovely idea using the parrot both work so well together, I think and this is only just, the furry one is my favourite.

Hi He4rty,
Yes, I think the furry one is pretty special too - thanks Graechan for the script!

It's funny how doing one thing gives inspiration to other things.
The metal one came about when I was trying to make the paisley look more like material/fabric.

I tried the 'Clothify' filter, but didn't like the results. I then remembered Rod's 'Embroidery' scripts.
Tried that but the resulting colours were too bright. After peeking into the script I saw it used the 'Neon Edge Detect'. That led me try out some of the other 'Edge Detect' methods. The 'Sobel' in one direction turned out well, and hence the metal paisley version was born, plus a few Gems to embellish the results ;)

Never did find something I felt was suitable for making a 'fabric' version. Still looking.

AnMal hasn't sent me a PM for a couple of days - I think she might be having a weekend away but she will be back.

i love these! very creative use of a parrot :). my favourite is the metallic one with the gem stones, that looks good enough to wear as jewellery.
