A manipulation I've made this friday, it was fun to do :D
Critique is really appreciated!

I also have a 'Making of' video on my youtube channel 'baukjespirit', if anyone is interested ;) I couldn't add the link to the video in this post, because i'm a new user..

Saw this over on DA and was impressed, espescially like the way you have used the light from the fire and water.
Just noticed the eyes are different colours as well to reflect the theme, Excellent.

And i never thought i would be able to create something like this too, always wondered how people could make these manipulations. But practice and trying can bring you far ;)

It sure would be nice to have a written tutorial on this but I guess it would have too many steps to it and would be very time consuming.
Anyway, I think it was very brilliant.

That is a stunning image BaukjeSpirit and you've rendered it really well. As for critique I can't find anything that needs improving.

I was actually thinking of uploading a tutorial video on my youtube channel, don't know what tutorial yet though, maybe you got some suggestions? And yes it would take a lot of steps to make a tutorial for the whole process, and it wouldn't be possible because i didn't record the whole process..

It was an amazing video... I was fascinated.

As a tutorial suggestion, perhaps you could do just one part with explanation. The part where you selected the model's hair with the path tool, then painted the strands back with a brush would make a great in-depth tutorial. I am not an artist, but I would love to learn to do that well.

I think that will be my next wallpaper (If you allow me to use it :) )
Just one thing. Those two lines in red and blue flames are very noticeable.

I do not know if you've wanted to do that intentionally. Or if these lines mean something.

Looks really spectacular, great work.

I feel that the flames could have been different from each other. They look identical, but flipped horizontally one way then the other and or vice versa. I've never seen any two flame that looked the same in shape or contour, fire by nature in any form is very unpredictable, the form is always recognized, but never duplicated.

Still all-in-all it's a fabulous piece. :kpix

I couldn't find really good flame stock, these were the best i could find, and i wanted them to look a bit identical(same height) to make the picture look more 'balanced', but maybe they are a bit too identical after all :P
