So after having a go at Erisans Nose Job (Sorry, Tutorial), I though I would make a post showing the limit of my art skills at present.

I work semi professionally as a clown and although enjoy balloon modelling hated doing it while entertaining because you just become a balloon factory. So was looking for something a bit different, remembered a program I used to watch on Tv as a younster called quick on the draw, It featured cartoonists competing against each other on recent events, one round feature a predetermined shape that had to be included in the final image. I used to nag my Mum to write down words or numbers that I would then try and convert into a small cartoon.

So, went back to my roots and now when I'm out clowning I do drawings that feature the letters of the childs name, Hence "Namicatures", these drawings have two bonuses...
1. they are fairly unique, so hopefully make you stand out from the crowd
2. unlike a balloon that will be deflated in a couple of days, you hope these will be pinned to a fridge for a while, so good opportunity to included you name and phone number on the back, so great way to advertise.

Anyways, enough rambling, here are a couple of examples, One for the Boys and one for the Girls.

Thanks AnMal, Takes them a while to get the hint you don't do balloons but once you start getting a few drawings out they soon come flocking.

He4rty, what a lovely idea, but it must get very difficult with short names or certain letters or very long names. I guess you could almost do a landscape with Elizabeth or Broderick.

Lucky Elizabeth is my daughters name so lots of practice at that one but yes I have had some diffultly with One girls name that was only about 4 letters long and the hardest boys name to date, which I did manage, was Christopher.

I remember QOTD - a great program. I'd forgotton all about this. I remember Vision On as well and the Vision On logo was mirrored and became a strange bouncing creature. Thanks for the reminder he4rty.
