Hi everyone, I took a good close up of a parrot recently.
So I decided to make it into this artwork.

Really nice work, as to the oval are you talking about the flats on the top,bottom and sides.

If so have you tried the shape paths script.

I don't quite understand what your wanting to improve, but it sure is great and very realistic looking as well.

No I hadn't tried the shape paths script.
Great result, updated the original image.

Thanks everyone, I appreciate you all spending your time commenting.

I am very impressed with my time lapse camera purchase. It has provided me with many close up action pics of the various fauna in my area.

Giving me plenty of images to use in my future projects :yes

No need for telescopic lenses and hours of waiting around for the shot. Just set it up and walk away.

I also really enjoy reviewing the final videos as you never know what images you may have captured!

Be warned, I have more plans for parrots yet! As long as they keep well away from sallyanne's flaming BBQ/Birdbath

Today I used part of my original image and created this opal ring.

The scarecrow is going to be a prerequisite, I notice she also is from Oz and the lives close by...sallyanne, you might get parrots too if you turn down the heat :hehe

@AnMal: I think so too, but it would appear the opal/design is not so appealing to the populous.
I put quite some effort into trying to produce a 'realistic' looking opal texture. I found it quite challenging but enjoyed every minute of it.
