B&W video of the legendary Betty Boop, colored with GIMP and GAP.

Composed of 11128 frames, of which about 9300 colored.

Coloration started the 28/08/2009 until the July 2010, then abandoned.

I had promised myself to continue, but will "zero", so not to mess up all the work done, i publish what has previously been done, if the urge comes back and i can complete the work re-released ... .

DISCLAIMER: The classic black and white Betty Boop cartoons are under Public Domain.

colorization is very good

Video malfunctioned and said to try again later.

EDIT: Retried it and it worked this time.

What an undertaking. What ever possessed you to color it? Hours and hours and hours of exacting work. Beautiful job. Looks great, DonGoGo.

Good job; must have taken weeks. Better you then me.

Nice, i love Betty Boop always have since i was a kid. Even my address labels are Betty Booped..lol
What a task, thanks for sharing it. =)

You did a tremendous job on the video. I can see where you can import the video into Gimp, but how did you handle the sound?

Thanks you all.
I used GAP for the entire work, either for import and export video-audio.

"Outstanding" looks like you spent thousands of hrs on that.

Amazing work! The colouring feels professional and very natural. I echo what others have already said, what an undertaking!
