I finally have some free time again, which means more time for GIMP!
Here's a zombie manipulation I made two days ago:
Don't click here if you don't want to see blood!

And here is the process video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=70hLp3LihlE

I love your work so it's a shame my library's filter blocked it. Still I'm sure you'll do some gore-free work in the near future. :)

Gruesome BaukjeSpirit, just gruesome. Excellent work - it turns out it wasn't the library's filter after all.

I like the gruesome quality of it. The only thing I might do different is the color of the blood. It's a little bit too bright. Maybe there should also be more of it. If she chewed her lips off there would be a lot more. I do like the ragged appearance of torn flesh though, you nailed that.

I'm not into the 'zombie' craze if that's what it is, don't see what's so appealing about it either, but nonetheless your work is truly gruesome. I mean that in the best way possible . ;)

I agree with Wallace but it shows that you are very talented and it is brilliant, I am just not into gore.

Really good work.I think she needs more decaying skin and flesh though.

I saw one of those movies which was very good, but there must have been more than one, because I don't remember this one....but perhaps I am like that mom and just don't remember the details, or have my eyes closed :)

:hehe There were three.

Thank you all, also thank you for the critique, I'm too lazy to change it but I'll remember it for the next time :)!
Didn't spend much time on this one actually, but I'm glad you all like it!

Haven't played those games, but it's actually inspired on the tv show 'the walking dead' :)

How stupid of me not to think of the nose, a lot zombies don't have any skin left on their nose! But now I'm too lazy to change it :P

I agree with you about the blood, It's indeed too bright and in my opinion also a bit too red. :)

I can totally understand why! I'm not into gore either, but I'll make an exception for zombies although I don't really know what it is that makes me like them.. :P

That's the reason why I shared the link to the image, because some people just aren't into gore. :)

Really nice effect.

If you look at the background texture of my sig I was wondering what this would look like maybe mapped to a face. Just need to remember how I got there.
