I created this animated icon for the group 'The Stock Directory's' icon contest.
What do you guys think, do I have a chance?


I also made another similar animated icon for another group...


I was thinking of making a GC banner with the same theme, what do you think... should I go for it?

does it have to be animated or is that just something you chose to do ?


i do like the idea of the plane motive for a Gimpchat banner - so yeah, go for it

About the animated icon...
The founder of the group that I've submitted the icon to is looking for an animated icon to replace the old un-animated one.
There seems to be a limitations with the size/weight of the file of 30kb, but I've seen many animated group icons that are much larger the 30kb and have pointed this out to the group in question.
My image is 199kb and I've seen many animated group icons over this size and even larger. 30kb doesn't seem like a very heavily animated icon to me.

Thanks Sallyanne, unfortunately the group I submitted the icon to removed it because the file weight was to heavy to be used as the groups icon.
Oh well, that's the way the cookie crumbles.
