This was created with Alpha-Engraver and the Lokas art 3D filter.
trying to create something like it with GIMP.

I kind of like those lines. They look like saw lines, as if the letters were sawed out.

Did you use a font? If so, what's that font?
That sounds like it could be a game show... 'What's That Font'. :hehe

Yes you need a registration key for Artistic Effects, and 3D Maker. 3D Shadow is FREE though and works excellent through Shellout>XnView
