Ooooooo ... That picture makes the hairs on the back of my neck rise. Gives me that awed feeling ... don't know quite how to describe it, but I totally love your picture.

That is beautiful, it really looks like a sunrise on a moon of Saturn.

I made a brush to help to create planet rings. Here are the preview images.

Attached zip folder has been updated as of Aug 11th 2016.
To include gradients and png images.
Along with xcf files of the rings.

Wow, I don't know what else to say, cuz everyone already said it but those tiny little stars look like they are actually twinkling, for something that small can catch the eye the way they do, it was a very nice feature along with the rest. Keep truckin, you are awesome.

Thank you Wallace, those rings are great, so pleased space is back in the limelight. One thing I have done (following a tut) is use layer masks to erase parts of the stars layers (building up layers to get depth), however when I export as JPEG and display on a large screen I'm showing a kind of 'oil on water' effect where I've erased. Has anyone else encountered this? Am I doing something wrong? Changing the opacity doesn't help - RJKD

Could it be,
that the brush used during the painting of the mask,
wasn't at full opacity?

Also,
if you can post the xcf file we can check it out,
to see what might be causing this issue.
