Just playing around on gimp, and happened to run Fx's Amazing circles on a text layer ( this is running the polar filter twice, Once with nothing checked and then the second time with "Map From Top" & " To Polar" checked.), Amazed at the results.

Started with just white text which I Had to flip the top text line over vertically to get it to read the right way once I'd run the filter, then ran the filter Amazing Circles, then carried on as with normal the new white text to create an effect.

it took me a few seconds to see the text, i think thats because of the blue extrusion

Thanks Esper, I wasn't sure about the blue extrusion either but just wanted to get the effect out there and show its potential.

I did make the make the background, the hexgon pattern was created with the mosiac filter and bevel filter, the Red parts from a grunge tutorial.

he4rty: this looks fun! i didn't really understand, though: does the amazing circles filter build on the polar filter so you can get the same effect without the amazing circles (for some reason i've never got that one to work)?
i like the gold and blue tones of the text and i like the background but i don't think i would have used them together .

Nice work he4rty. I like the honeycomb background as well.
