Although I failed miserably at my own challenge, have still not lost the urge to try and draw again. Today really felt in the right mood to try something, so have gone for a self potrait.

I like it

I have some minor comments. I think you need to do a little work on your left eye, a bit of shading on the teeth and add some shading to the tee-shirt to give it some depth.

I do like the feel of it and you've got me in the mood to go out viewing art today (it's the last weekend of Devon Open Studios).

Good drawing. You have certainly got a likeness. Some stronger contrasts would add some depth to this.

Kevin - I think you're being to kind, personnally, I want to erase the face totally and start again.
Erisian - To be honest I was more concerned about getting shape and dimensions as correct as I could the bit of shading I did do was more of an afterthought but I shall keep it in mind even if my shading is rushed.

The one eye looks like it's closed, other than that I think this is pretty good! Hands especially.

I noticed that too Moko. It must be pretty tricky to paint a portrait with the glasses. The eye does appear closed, especially when it is wide open in the original. Very well done though.
