Excellent texture work. It's a little hard to read, though when I saw the last three letters I realized what it was. The Shining was one of my favourite horror films. Nice work!

it is pretty though

I never meant it to be totally obvious. It's more like a subtle nod. No one on my facebook figured it out yet, but I know it's there and that's all that matters.

ek22: i think it wouldn't hurt if the text stood out just a little more against the rest, otherwise it has a nice horror movie feel, very atmospheric . i just saw the shining for the first time this summer, so i had it fresh in memory and made the connection at once.

The book was scarier. The movie with Jack Nicholson was alright but it changed up too much from the story in the book and that bothered me. But bygones, I consider the book a classic. I don't even care if people want to argue about that. AnMal, you're probably right, the text could stand to be a little brighter maybe, and I waffled about that as I was making it. Then I opted to hide it like I did and it's more of an easter egg than anything now.

You don't seem like a killer to me.
