Pretty cool.It actually compiled quite nicely after fudging with Perl locations in a few Makefiles. :)
Not sure what it means but now i have all the libgimp includes i may need for further compiles of plugins and such.
Gimp-2.7.4 and Gimp-2.6.11 have different libgimp-2.0.dll files so i may be able to muck around with the C source of the Clone Layer Tool and get it to work in Gimp-2.6.11....maybe.
Anyways i am happy!
:wh

This is a perfect picture of a perfect end of a Gimp-2.6.11 compile for Windows 32 bit! :)

Thanks guys... :lol never thought of being a true Gimp before. What an honer...er i think. :)
I don't know, something inside me just told me i have to compile Gimp-2.6.11.

Although not many have been able to compile Gimp on Windows i owe everything to Partha and his instructions on setup and the groundwork for building Gimp-2.7.4, and Gimp-2.6.11.

I also owe him a lot for all his help with all the code, and configuration errors he walked me through.
Partha you rock!

Next i think i will try and compile Gimp Painter.

After that i think i am going to stick with Gimp-2.8.1 and beyond betas as well as those plug-ins that meander along to the Gimp Registry that need to be compiled for Windows.
I have also been playing with a new C+ interface builder (GNU). The program is called Fast Light Tool Kit and i have compiled it for Windows 32 bit already also. :) src files - http://fltk.org/index.php

Image

I think i can learn a lot about C+ source code from it and that is a huge bonus for me, and being able to play with the plugin source code properly.

The next thing i need to learn is proper packaging.GPL and other license files/READMES that need to go out with each compile and so on.

Not to mention another project i just bought hosting for!
2012 is going to be a busy year for me i think. :bigthup

Fantastic:geek

did you compile with the hacked preview windows ? Also your last hack to gimpimpressionist window is included ?
(if you need the modified code just let me know i did also for 2.6)
Also your last hack to gimpimpressionist window is included ?
And python ?

I had no luck with your first build doesn't want run in 7 :gaah (i had still to try with xp )

And with crossed fingers i wait for gimpainter, i dream a customized version with the best script and plugin for comix and painting emulation GPS and good collection of brush and pattern:paint

I dream also, for a organize a large collection of brush and pattern to have GURM pre-installed

Again congratulation...i am not sure when 2,8 will be ready (my prevision is for half January but i see that many believe will be sooner) but in the while would be happy to host a stable version if with python and support for PDF included
...about PDF is just needed to place the ghostscript "gs904w32.exe"( or gs904w64.exe for 64 bit gimp) in the gimp bin folder...ghostscript is open source so should be no problem

Rod would you be game enough to try 'Mathmap' for wndows64 please. I think Partha, photocomix or JamesH might have the source files. Regardless you are a Star for your efforts to date. :yr

Graechan yes i have the sources but till now nobody was able to compile MM not at 32 not at 64 bit

And a lot tried ...Samij, Francois Collard, JamesH ..i believe even partha

One of the problem is that require a special build enviroment but i fear is not the only problem..no idea what magic Commander Guff did to compile but he was the only able to do the trick...Alas i lost his mail long ago

Maybe by my request in itself you can see how far above my level of understanding compiling is, but to lose such a usefull plugin is somethig I dread.

The sense was
£... till now nobody was able to compile MM not at 32 not at 64 bit" FOR WINDOWS" (and Mac )

should be no much problems to compile for ubuntu but maybeis not even needed for 32 bit:
the ubuntu and debian build should still work on ubuntu

i did not installed yet in my Kubuntu11 but in my previous kubuntu i used a old ubuntu package, were link in the mathmap pageì... worked well

If i had a setup for 64 bit i would honestly give it a go.But alas i am still using a 32 bit platform.Sorry Graechan. :\

PC i am attempting to compile Mathmap for 32 bit just to see if i can. :) :bigthup

Partha - thanks! I am really loving it. :geek

This is a beautiful new
I believe you already have the modified "expression folder" with the additional filter included, maybe you may have better luck then me to find in the labirinth of that code the definition for the preview a line that should contain something as
PREVIEW SIZE = 200
or
Preview w =200
Preview h =200

or something similar where is the hardcoded size of the preview

And same for supersanpling i could not image any reason to disable supersampling ,apparently doesn't use much more resources but give much better results but is disablewd by default
Alas i could find the line where is Supersampling =false or something alike

Still must be possible found and modiify both ,offering a better preview and better quality (supersamping really make a difference)

Making Rain Dances with crossed fingers while humming Mantras...may the Force be with You ! :yes
