I cannot get CustomFonts to work now that I'm upgraded to GIMP3.0. Any suggestions?

I currently have no plans to migrate my stuff to Gimp 3.0. I know that some people have both Gimp 2.10 and Gimp 3.0 installed so that they can use the best of both versions.

Trans SCM plugin to create text using XCF custom font files has not been updated to Gimp-3.0 yet.
As a matter of fact you won't be able to open any XCF Custom Font files that were made in Gimp-2.10 in Gimp-3.0 anyway.
The API is totally different now.
This is why all Custom Font creators keep Gimp-2.10.38 in their arsenal. If you want to use Custom Fonts, for now you will have to have Gimp-2.10 installed.
Someone with enough interest may come along and re-write the SCM file. In Trans own words though, the code is a mess and he may not even understand it anymore himself.

Or you could create a Custom Font in Gimp-3.0 and use them that way. Easier to write words with Trans plugin though.
