Thank you Oregonian. I sometimes add an Iwarp twist to the center just to smooth it out.
I am going to share the method I use for my maps and I am hoping Graechan or GnuTux might script it, however it will need to wait a little.

Wallace I'm happy you like the sphere.

For people who don't understand, the images posted are .png files and you can cut the sphere and save it.
Use crop image and increase canvas size, then resave the sphere. Thats how I do it at least and it works.

I don't understand how you used the Random Font Text Script. It generates random fonts but you said you used the Keep on Trukin' font ... :puzzled

Under font filter, try locked font. I think that is what you use and you can choose your font where it says serif bold.

Another good script for sphere design is GlossyOrb. Adjust the opacity before saving.

The easiest way I know, is to create your text and then above your text add a new layer and run the filter>noise>hurl, then set this layer to dodge and crop to text.
