Made possible by GIMP's new wrap feature (which I've only asked for for the better part of a decade). Makes creating textures a breeze. First I created a brush and the commenced to painting (since permanently removed the brush since it took over 4MBytes and it would just slow down GIMP's loading which is already way too slow at the moment; lol). :)

Sounds like a classic case of GIMP Resource Bloat to me.

Lyle: I think you fell into an artistic "blackhole" and need to do morse code messages for us to help find you.

I wonder what a bunch of galaxies look like in a droste setting... hmmm.

Now that I'm less tired, I see a lot of flaws with the texture, Issabella; may not want too. lol

Appreciate the words none-the-less. :)

OK; posted a butterly pattern that's now gone; what happened? I'll post it again and hopefully it won't get disappeared. :)

OK; had to re-post. Call this one Monarch Swarm. Used one of Qruq's butterfly brush butterflies for the result. :)

Thanks O. I snagged the script. Works great! Here's a few to play with. I may have some in there that are native to gimp but I couldn't remember If I alreay had them or aquired them elsewhere. After completing the arranging I realized I had a duplicate in there. I think I got them all in the attached files.

Unfortunately there are quite a few and had to make four zip files.

This is really nice, Thank you for sharing it! :) Gonna try for some texts!

OK, Mahvin; at near 2am, I had some energy to try. Took the image above and made it seamless via Resynthesizer and enhanced to taste. Then I ran Mathmap on the result. :)

OK; home for another 2 weeks due to a co-worker's girlfriend getting a positive test result for Covid. Oh well. Doesn't affect my part-time job (called in and they said so long as I don't have symptoms, I can work; well I don't and won't). Anyway, since I had the time, I thought I would create an ice on glass pattern and then used it to render the sphere. :)

Thanks, Skinnyhouse.

Thought I would just go ahead and make a cookie texture with the brush (well modified it to clean up some artifacts that I saw). Click here for the texture. :)
