But they still interfere with the UI setup.
ie gradients, patterns, and brushes all vanish when in a grid mode.In a list mode they only appear if you mouse over them.Ill keep themes on in the version because it's not that big of a deal.A different color scheme may work a lot better i do not know.I am using Aurora Midnight.

Anyways just thought i would give a heads up on that.Hopefully 2.8 has the issues with themes and the new UI figured out to work together.

I got Nodakka-Midnight, or however it is spelled on, and it doesn't seem to give me any troubles.
I took and just made a folder in the GIMP Theme Path called Nodakka-Midnight, and then put the GTK-rc file or whatever in there.
Then in GIMP go to Edit (second Menu from the Right) and Preferences, then Themes and select that folder.

Okay find GTK2-Runtime, go into that folder, go Share, then Themes, find Nodaka Midnight, and go into it, copy the GTKRC file,

Then go into GIMP 2.7.3, Share, GIMP, 2.9, Themes, make a folder called Nodaka Midnight, and place the GTKRC file in there.

Open GIMP, and go to Edit (I know it is the Second Menu from the Right), and then go to Somewhere near the Bottom and go to Preferences, then the Themes Menu on the Left Area. Then, select the Nodak Midnight folder, and this works for me atleast.
