Been navigating the site, specifically this thread.
When trying to go to page 3, Chrome issues this warning

Image
That's something I've never experienced on this site and have't seen in a long time on any other site I'm frequent to.
Wonder if other users get the same warning.
Q for GnuTux - is this something to worry about or just a false positive?
Thanks.

I just read pages one through 3 and didn't get any kind of warning.

Does this just happen with chrome users? I use FF.

I get the same error page with Chromium, nothing with Firefox.
I checked for links to actydomo.com and found one for the externally linked image in this post.

Thanks for the input everyone.
Checked with IE 11 too - no problem. Seems like the Chrome's issue or some of its extensions.
I suspect Adblock might be a culprit.

It's not Adblock, I use Adblock in Chromium and Firefox and get no warning in Firefox.
Here's Google Safe Browsing page, I think it's the same info that Akros posted above.

I have no problem with Adblock, have used it for years. I don't use it on GC, but I do every where else.

I get that same error as well and I'm using Google Chrome. I don't use IE because it actually gives viruses. I've had too many attacks on my old laptop when I used IE. Maybe the link or what ever was posted on page 3 was a malicious site and that's why it was blocked.

Adblock isn't what gives that warning. It gives no warning at all, it just blocks ads. That warning pertains to a suspicious connection from a link leading to some malware somewhere in the content displayed on page 3 of that thread. Just because chrome is the only browser that recognizes suspicious content and issues a warning does not chrome a culprit make. I'd rather it do that than derp like internet explorer which apparently just glosses over whatever this is.

Just about any browser extension/apps is a breach to the security.
That's what I meant blaming Adblock. I know it does not spread the malware just blocks the ads but there's always a backdoor. There is no links or attachments on page 3. Certainly no actydomo.com links.
@GnuTux - if this is going to help, my other computer's protection software warns me
about Unit10s_ActiveX.exe when I try to open page 3.

Hmmm ... I just checked it (with Chrome DEV latest - 33.0.1707.0 dev-m) and did not get the warning.

I've got (had?) Adblock Plus (1.6.1) but its icon has disappeared from address-bar and clicking its [Options] in Extensions just says "Loading ..." in the tab and it never gets loaded and AFAICT no ads are being blocked.

I filed a bug against it (there were already a bunch reported though none mentioned the absence of address-bar icon and inability to get to Options.

Anyone else here seeing same thing or able to refute with same versions? (Chrome+Adblock Plus)

rofl what I find funny is I have to keep reinstalling AdBlocker and it doesn't block adds, I see adds everywhere that just animate like they're cute.

Looks like YAFU had embedded a JPG that was hosted on that site. That JPG is no longer there but the dead link remains. I suppose Google detected malware on that site, at some point, and it's issuing a warning because of the link, even though it's a dead link.

I've removed the dead link. Thanks for bringing this to my attention!
