While one can preview post subject with an emoji one cannot publish it

Hi, I confirm the issue.

Fire emoji code point U+1F525 is rendered as f0 9f 94 a5.
Hence the error message above.

MySQL4 / PhpBB3 are not fully configured to support UTF8 Unicode char in the tables of the database.
  • A post with Unicode characters is well displayed by the "Preview" button.
  • However the "Submit" button fails if there is any Unicode character in the post.
