currently we have 15 topics everyday on the frontpage

GimpChat has a lot of subforums and mostly i watch the frontpage but rarely browse any of the subforums, because i know that all the latest replies and topics will be on the front

so i was wondering if we could get more than 15 - it seems there is definitely enough room on the frontpage to have a few more topics on display

it would really improve my user experience in a good way

There is room on the index for more Recent Topics. Fifteen seemed about right, depending on traffic. I do agree that when there are lots of posts, it doesn't take long to for a post to fall off the list. I also have to consider the impact on the server.

I'll give 20 on the Recent Topics list a test and see how it works out, but if it increases the load on the server, I will have to change back to 15.

You can also use the Active Topics link, as Barbie suggested. Select how far back you'd like to go from the drop down at the bottom.

I usually bookmark the topics I might be interested in so that they are easier for me to find later...time i always my enemy as I work a fair bit.

I never knew how the active topics link worked, I can definitely use that to advantage!!!!
