2. Change file extension to jpeg, OK



This dialog contains all the options you normally need. Context Help explains everything.

Molly, you got plenty of very good indications, all of them lead to one summary:
- choose a good camera (with good technical comments available -on google you can find them)
- don't worry about the original weight of the images (many times -but not always- more pixels allow more detailed pictures), because there are plenty of mechanisms to reduce the weight before sending the picture to your friends
- thus: separate the choice of the camera from the necessity of obtaining small images to send; the first goal is to get good pictures, all the rest is feasible later...

Thank you dinasset, that makes sense. I guess I know enough now not to let the amount of pixels bother me.
