Per the Verge article, Microsoft again decided to patch WinXP. Since I still use WinXP as a sandbox (which I mentioned here before), I did go ahead and patched my VM and saved it as a set point. Will drive it a few days (or weeks) and if satisfied, I'll save it as my new golden set point. Anyway, I used the catalog since svhost uses too many resources when I try the updates route and finally said enough is enough. When you click on link below, then click on last updated tab to get all the current security updates for WinXP.

I got a bunch as well.
Haven't installed the Creators Update and won't until I have no choice.

Windows 10 updates in by the dozens.

I actually haven't experienced any issues with the creative build yet, Wallace and, yes, I forced the update a few weeks (or was it months) back.

The Creators Update was official release back on April 11th.
However,
there was a Creators Update available on March 29.
This version was basically for Insiders/Xbox One users and Xbox hardware.

I did installed the update back around mid April.

I noticed then,
that all the changes I made to get rid of some things,
were back up and running.
So I promptly carried out a system image replacement/restore.
Using a prior system image backup saved to my external drive.
Hence why I'll be waiting for Microsoft's roll-out of the update to me.

I'm now in the process,
of gathering information.
To be able to remove stuff that comes back and or what is pre-installed.
Once the update is permanently installed.
I'll be ready to remove the unwanted Microsoft goodies.

Don't want to use "Cortana" and the things it's associated with.
Don't use or have an Xbox.
Not pleased with Microsoft's data collecting telemetry and can do without most,
if not all of the pre-installed apps.
Don't use Microsoft Store,
OneDrive,
Alarms & Clock,
Calendar,
Camera,
Get Office,
Groove Music,
Maps,
Microsoft Edge,
Microsoft Solitaire,
Money,
Movies & TV,
News,
OneNote,
People,
Phone Companion,
Photos,
Sports,
Weather and Windows Feedback just to name a few.
I'm also no interested in being Microsoft's Beta OS guinea pig.

I haven't participated in the beta program (nor will I), Wallace. Regardless, I'm glad enough people have so that by the time they do an official service pack (well, it's not called that now), most of the bugs have gotten addressed.
