Cyclone Wallace off Australian coast. It's heading for Western Australia. Any Gimp Chatters in the state have my thoughts and prayers. It's the third or fourth Cyclone this season.

TROPICAL CYCLONE INFORMATION BULLETIN

TROPICAL CYCLONE WARNING CENTRE PERTH

Tropical Cyclone Wallace (Category 1) was located at 2:00 pm AWST near 12.2S
124.3E,
that is 345 km northwest of Kalumburu and 490 km north northeast of Cape
Leveque and moving west southwest at 15 kilometres per hour.
Gales are no longer expected along coastal parts of the Kimberley.

Tropical Cyclone Wallace is expected to continue its west southwest track and
develop further in the next few days. While the most likely track keeps the
system well off the WA coast, there remains a risk that the cyclone could
approach the west Pilbara coast towards the middle of next week.
The next Information Bulletin will be issued at 9 pm AWST.

Thank you, Sallyanne. Looks like it's going away,but Cyclones are notorious for changing course so they'll keep an eye on it until it's really too far away.

Looks like Wallace is unlikely to come to Australia now at all.
The system is now unlikely to approach the far west Pilbara

TROPICAL CYCLONE WARNING CENTRE PERTH

Tropical Cyclone Wallace (Category 2) was located at 8:00 pm AWST near 13.4S
118.8E,
that is 630 km northwest of Broome and 770 km north of Port Hedland and moving
west southwest at 20 kilometres per hour.

Tropical Cyclone Wallace is expected to continue its west southwest track and
may develop further over the next day or two over open water, well off the
Kimberley and Pilbara coasts. Wallace should then weaken during the middle of
the week.
