I am here today because I got something fun to share.

The process: https://yourquietfriend.blogspot.com/20 ... later.html
The tool (square seamless doodle tile): https://yourquietfriend.blogspot.com/20 ... maker.html
Another tool (hexagon seamless doogle tile) in Post #11: viewtopic.php?f=15&t=22815#p304061

What's cool is if you think you doodled something interesting as a pattern.
We can like start a thread on here that we share seamless tiles and the preview of the seamless pattern like 3x3 or whatever.
but include the seamless tiles so GIMP users can grow their seamless tiles collection.

changed the tool to show brushsize before having to paint, and also preview brush in center of canvas when brushsize is being changed.

Hi Rod, good to hear from you/me hehe

I changed it so i can autoload an existing tile that's uploaded to say imgur.com (I tried using tiles that were uploaded to gimpchat.com and it works too so that's cool).
Went back added Edit links to the patterns.

for example this link lets you edit the below pattern: https://yourquietfriend.blogspot.com/20 ... Bj1OIi.png

Thank you so much for sharing all your gifts with us here.

Have you checked out all the Custom Font threads here at Gimp Chat? Wouldn't have been so if not for you Tran.

It's you guys who make the font, that's real work.

What's even crazier than a square seamless tile maker?
A Hexagon/Honey Comb Tile Maker: https://yourquietfriend.blogspot.com/20 ... l2DaRr.png

Update: Hi Skinnyhouse, great to see you.
I haven't spent anytime in GIMP 3 as 2.10 does everything I need to do, at least for time being. Too lazy to learn 3 hehe

Ok another tool for fun
Take a square and automatically map it to inner Hex, then 12 sided ring then 24 sided ring.

in the last post the mapping was inside out for the 12 and 24 sided shape.
I prompted ChatGPT to fix this. Now the link does it properly.

not slow anymore I prompted ChatGPT to make one copy and rotating instead of remapping each one....so it's live reaction to drawing now with less lag.

made mirror and then rotated now so it's symetrical pairs instead of looking like fan rotation

Another weird toy:
I like the ability to click four points (starting with top left and go clockwise to define where a square texture will be mapped).
In the toy I clicked and defined these patches, you save a link and it'll load up the patches so you can use later with other textures (which can be uploaded online to auto load with link as well).

Here's how I defined my patches as a 1st run test.

Here is the texture I want to use:

And this the digital mache now:

here's the digital mache toy (and there are comments on bottom to load up the above mache if you want to see it for kicks):
Digital Mache with Default Mache 1 with Texture load
