I set PSPI to my actual plugin folder so I know they are the .8bf plugins. I even moved them to the same folder setup as lylejk and it still fails.

I've tried using Shellout with xnview but my Topaz plugins render it as a double image through it - the original image with the progressed one over the top of it.

Maybe it's time for PSPI for be updated, or better still, for the Gimp Dev to add support for Photoshop plugins...

PSPI requires the installation of additional libraries (*.dll)
You can download:
http://hootytuts.com/public_htmls/tutsup_htms/plugindls/pluginsindex.html
You can specify which files "Not" by:
http://www.dependencywalker.com/

you may get the dll here
http://irfanview.tuwien.ac.at/plugins/8bf_tools.zip

the zip contain Msvcrt10.dll and Plugin.dll

Both may be required BUT ONLY from (very) old PS plugins , most modern plugin should not need them, and so this last Redfield plugin may work without

Still can't get PSPI to work. But no matter, I now use Shellout with Paint.net and that seems to work for me. And it also allows me to access both Grid Warp and Liquify. So I'm happy!

Thanks so much for your help!

Wow would I ever like to be able to use those two plug-ins. I used them back when I was working with PS.

I so wish someone would make versions of these for Gimp! Including the Soften Portrait plugin from Paint.net aswell; http://paint.net.amihotornot.com.au/Fea ... _Portrait/

Don't really see many people doing plugins anymore... apart from G'mic and the recent Beautify plugins that is. Which is a shame!

Maybe this is because people are afraid that the future versions of GIMP have a high risk of introducing some incompatibilities with the current plug-in system (thanks to the GEGL port), and therefore it is not sure that programming a plug-in these days is one good investment?

Oh! Well let's hope this issue is resolved quickly with little or no incompatibilities with the current plug-in system. I'd hate to have problems using plugins like yours!

Looks like version 2 was released a few months ago; someone at another forum notified us of that and I thought I would post that here. Looks like you can actually save customer presets now and it has a few cool presets out of the get-go including Simplex which I used on my petunia pict. :)
