Thank you all for your support. The flight is booked for 16th April, in time for my 50th birthday on 22nd - I just have to check in and book the airport bus. AnMal and myself are really looking forward to being together at last and not having to say goodbye again. We are going to spend the first week relaxing together and getting a few necessities out of the way and then it's going to be serious job hunting time. My main concern is that finding work may prove difficult as I don't yet speak a lot of Swedish. Swedish people usually speak excellent English but there may still be difficulties. I am really looking forward to seeing the country in spring and summer as I have only seen it in winter so far, and I am looking forward to exploring all the places where ancient remains still stand. From what I have seen on the internet, Gotland is the place for that but Lund is another place I want to see, which is AnMal's place of birth. I will take lots of photos and post some here.

Erisian, Lund is a beautiful city with so many things to see. My uncle Sture and my aunty Mercedes have lived there for many years happily. People there are really great and friendly.

I read somewhere that to give someone a feather before they travel, will endow the traveler with the spirit of a bird. Helping to make their travels swift and precise.

I've never been to Gotland but I hear it's a nice place. The island is a little country-side-esque I suppose but you should have no trouble getting by on English in general.
