Wow! That's awesome. The wind was blowing and the feathers got ruffled a few times. This is a screenshot I took of it.

A little while ago, both were there and you could see the babies :D
There are two so far, and a third egg that is waiting to hatch.

FAQs

How high is the nest?
About 80 feet.

How big is the nest?
5-6 feet across, about the same deep; it weighs about 1½ tons.

How old is the nest?
The eagles built it in 2007. A previous nest close by fell when a windstorm broke one of the branches.

Some basic info if you scroll down some.

Mama was feeding the babies a fish (in foreground). She'd tear off a small piece and feed them. All I could get was just a little bit on one of the babies - the arrow is pointing to the baby. Mama wouldn't get out of the way. :hehe

O: Can you check out this site and tell me if you can get the live stream? I couldn't.

It's another eagles nest in the Deschutes, here in Oregon.

Are bald eagles really bald?

No! Their heads are covered with short white feathers. The term "bald" may be from the Old English word balde that meant white. Bald eagles are sometimes called American eagles, fishing eagles, Washington eagles, and white-headed eagles. They belong to a scientific grouping of eagles known as sea eagles or fish eagles that includes the Stellar’s sea eagle Haliaeetus pelagicus.

O's correct. How Bald became associated with hairless happens to be that most colonial men wore bald wigs, but happened to be hairless when they took those white (bald) wigs off and hence the association became. Not sure when they stopped wearing wigs; probably when the Republicans replaced the Whig party; lol (of course not). :)

Yeah I didn't mean that as in O being wrong it was more just what I had been told as to why they were called Bald Eagles.

Very Cool info Guys I ever knew that Balde (With an E) meant White.

Sorry if this or anything I say comes across the wrong way,
Willy
