With Ccleaner, how often should I use the Drive Wiper option and will that option just clean the drives or delete programs on the drives while cleaning? I'm curious because my brother said I should do it in order to free up space on my laptop plus I've had my HP for 3 years. I still only use the cleaner portion of Ccleaner. The version I have is the free version.

Drive Wiper does not free up space. It is used for security/privacy so data cannot be recovered by recovery software such as Recuva.

Will "duplicate files" get rid of anything other (important) than the duplicate photos I have? I know I have a few. Does it show a list that I can edit before deleting?

Hi sallyanne

It generates a tick box list. I would use Duplicate Finder with caution and only delete photos/docs you recognize.
