Congratulations Erisian, keep it up. I have been free of the nicotine (two pack a day) for 33 years now.

yes smocking cigarettes is unhealty
The addition to nicotine may be really strong , anyway i found that a moderate use of a cup full of weed make vanish any longing for cigarette , tabac or nicotine in general

If 2 cups instead then one is even possible a further improvement, not only you may pass a week without smoking cigarettes but you may even forgot to think about cigarettes or any effort for not to smoke them :hehe

Now two weeks and going strong. Physical symptoms have all gone but it's the psychology that drags. The good news is I'm feeling healthier and more alive already (and richer!) :yes

Excellent news! :)
Believe me you will not regret it. Especially when you take that first 6 mile hike without running out of breath. It makes a big difference in children's health also.

New computer will surely help keep your hands busy and you won't have time to even miss smoking! Congrats, you are over the worst, and the rest if just habit.

In case anybody is curious, it's more than two months now since I quit smoking and I'm happy to say I don't miss it at all! I consider myself a non-smoker now although I am aware there are psychological traps to be avoided. I feel so much healthier, more energetic and clearer headed as well as richer and it's nice to not have to go outside in all weathers for a cigarette when I'm in public places. :spring
