Mac OS X Lion 10.7

I miss Screen Savers, but do sometimes watch Attack. Miss Call for Help too. Still get Lockergnome (Pirillo's newsletter) for over 10 years now. I know Chris likes the Mac, but I won't ever use a platform from a control freak company no matter how well perceived the product they push seams to be. I do like the eyecandy quick launcher that comes standard though, but you can get this type launcher all over the place now if you want (which I really don't since, though I like the eyecandy, I don't really need it). I do like Linux, but PC guy I am. Like GIMP, which is my crutch, MS is my OS crutch. Been using Microsoft since DOS 3.1 (pretty sure that was well before you were even thought of Mike; lol), and am just too familiar with it to change my ways. Now, if someone were to give me a platform, I might actually try to use it. lol

Yeah i am a windows person and probably always will be.
Like Lyle said i can get Rocketdock to launch aps with (have it now)
It's no big deal to me having a store to buy apps as i am a open source guy also.
I have bought a few apps like Web Builder 7 and Filter Forge but those pay for them selves.

So i guess i am not too impressed with the Mac setup, as i can get anything it has in Windows.
Also it seems to press buying software.
That and it seems to have a rough time installing Gimp versions.

I have Snow Leopard and have the app store right now...just the way they have it, an icon on my dock and all I have to do is click it and shoot right into the app store. I only get free apps because I'm cheap like that! My best find is the free Kindle book reader. I have it also on my phone and they synch so I can work on one and it keeps up on the other. Also, there are a ton of old books that are free! I only wish I had time to read more. All the other fancy stuff, like Mission Control...so shiny and pretty but really not necessary for me. By the time I memorized all the shortcuts, they will have come out with something else. Since I am used to windows, I don't find the mac really much easier, just a little different, although I will say it is a lot faster than my old computer.

I started using windows when Windows 95 was released. (I was born in 92, so I've been using it sense an embrio lol)

I've only bought Spyware Doctor with AntiVirus and that'll be it for anything I'm gonna buy. However Snow Leopard does have some really nice cool features, but not all of it will run natively on a windows unless you have a good processer, graphics card, etc: but still you gotta think of all the ram, and crap that extra software will be running, instead of being implemented into the machine itself.

I just have a hackintosh, cause I'm poor like that lol.

lol, I guess how your 'hackentosh' works depends on which osx version you have. If I had time to really do a lot of computer stuff, I would want to run Parallels on the mac...so you could run both osx and windows at the same time, each in it's own window, and you can drag and drop stuff back and forth! I don't know if windows has that capacity.
