Does anyone want the rest of my garden?
I went out and picked a bunch of yellow wax beans, some cukes and a couple of tomatoes, put my hand down to pick a couple more, lo and behold, there lies a snake. The neighbors probably heard me scream and then when I got by the house, right beside the b-b-q on the patio, there was a larger one. Thats it, I am putting a sign out at the street, free vegies, pick your own. grrrrrr
I know you guys are going to laugh but I am terrified of them even though they are supposed to be just grass snakes.

I wish there was some way you could make those snakes leave your garden, Molly, but I sure don't know how. Loud rap music?

Maybe hang a few belt buckles aroud the garden

I am just going to stay in and SULK.

I'm a born and raised city girl where the rumbling of the "EL" and sounds of sirens etc., lulled me to sleep.

For the last twenty years I've lived in rural and suburban areas. The silence drives me crazy not to mention living in a place where I wake up to sandhill cranes, turtles, cardinals (<--love these) and black moccasin snakes (along with other varieties of slithering snakes). I sympathize with you.

According to Dave's Garden...

Yes O, I sent him out to chase them away with the hose and water the vegies at the same time.

I'm with you on snakes & spiders, Molly. Actually, I try to avoid anything that bites or stings.
