After a couple 30 degree days

Had the most beautiful Sunset Sunday evening.

Half an hour later lightning was in the clouds

Half an hour after this there was sheet lightning all around

Not long after this we had a good lightning storm with heavy rain right over the top of us. Earlier the thunder was far away so we only heard 'rumbles'. Now it was crackling. I was inside by then so didn't get any photos.

I don't blame you for getting inside. Our thunderstorms are probably just a few minor sparks compared to yours!

We usually get our major storms at the end of a long hot Summer/early Autumn and we still have a month to go before Summer starts.

I found a few photos taken by different people in Adelaide.

We had 80,000 lightning strikes but most of them would have been in the clouds.
