The situation at work is this we have a skeloton crew. Of course I am beyond burnt out. I'm a very loyal hardworking employee, I go in a lot of times when others need or want time off. I do extra things they ask me to do. I often feel at work taken advantage of. When I asked for time off I didn't get it. Well my next years resolution is to take a long weekend here and there. Most everyone gets overtime very few don't. My boss and other employees know how I feel. It's really bad because I don't care about the money I'm making. I care about how much time off I can have. Please tell me how to deal with being beyond burnt out. And thank you for letting me vent.

I would start off right away with planning a long weekend to take off asap, get it set up on the work schedules. Then you will have something to look forward to and that can help with the burn-out feeling.

I think 2-ton is right.
If you don't take care of your needs who will. What good will you be to anyone once you're completely worn out.
Take some time and refresh yourself.

Start looking for another job. Don't mention it to anyone you work with. When you get another firm offer, you'll have leverage to negotiate with your current boss. Be prepared to take the other job. Either way, you win. :hehe

My advice is to tell your boss you are getting burned out working so many hours, and it isn't good for your productivity, and that you really need a little more time off to get back on track. I have been in that position and ended up just telling my bosses "I'm done, I quit" they sat down and talked with me to find out why I felt that way, and said that I need to talk with them so everybody can stay productive. I never asked for a raise, just time off. I ended up getting both a small raise and a little more (not a lot) time off. Just something to think about.
