Paul Anka wrote this for Sinatra, and only a violin can make this sound as beautiful. Rieu is a renowned Dutch violinist, conductor and composer, and his orchestra did a tribute to Frank Sinatra with My Way on his Stradivarius violin at Radio City Music Hall – New York . Don't miss this... Rieu doesn't often play his violin thru whole pieces, this he did!

That was beautiful Molly.
Would you believe that at one time they were going to demolish Radio City Music Hall? BTW... I've been there and it's a really great place to visit while in NYC.

"My way" wasn't written by Paul Anka. He just slapped new lyrics on a French song called "Comme d'habitude", sung by Claude François (video). So if nobody sings the lyrics, the tribute is to Claude François (and his co-composer).

Definitely well done; been getting a lot of videos (email) of this guy and his orchestra. I've never seen the guy before but obviously, he's quite famous. lol

Thoroughly enjoyable rendition if only they could have projected old blue eyes onto the stage singing it as well, thank you heaps for bringing it to us Oldies Molly :clap

Thanks Graechan, it was a very beautiful rendition. As they said the violin is needed for that kind of music although I noticed that the woodwinds, clarinets, oboe's sounded pretty darn good too.
