About two years ago I spilt a cup of coffee over the keyboard

, after the initial shock and panic was over and the keyboard dried out I found the only lasting damage was an intermittent non functioning spacebar key, annoying but I could live with it. As time went by it got worse

, so I removed the plastic key cover and for a while it seemed better, but gradually worsened, I then removed the rubber covering exposing the circuit board, it does work but I have to hit an exact spot, not good.
A few days ago I downloaded SharpKeys from How-To Geek which lets the user redefine a keys character, now for a space I press the backslash, which is great

, but its taking some getting used to ignoring the spacebar, andsometimesiforget.
