Already done ours too. Fortunate these days that most things change automatically (like computer and phone clocks). It's only the manual clocks that need to be changed.

Yes it is remarkable that our computers are sometimes a lot smarter than us. You would wonder how they would know to change the DL-savings to Standard time. I just like to remind myself and others to also change the settings In Gimp chat so the posts times will be correct.

Something I still haven't done molly. We changed our clocks to Summer time dls in this past month. I( have noticed a difference in board time and my clock but it is only an hour out and will only be till about April next year.

Thats why you can change that twice a year so they wont be an hour out. I guess it isnt really that important, but i like to keep them all synchronized.

Our computers know because we set them to do so... If you look at your clock setting dialog, you don't really enter a time zone, you enter a town/country that sets both the time zone and the DLS policy (and the DLS dates are known several years in advance).

My surprise is that GC doesn't do it...

I changed all my house clocks before leaving for work Molly. Only had to change my watch (which I did at 2AM) and my car radio (when I left work). :)

All I know, is it isn't a big task to do this twice a year, It is kind of nice to have everything in sync.
Anyway, to each his own. Just thought I would remind the ones that didn't know about that setting. If they don't want to be bothered, that's fine.

In Arizona there's no need to change clock time. In addition to Arizona, the change is not observed in Hawaii, American Samoa, Puerto Rico, Guam and the Virgin Islands. Most parts of the state of AZ, except the Navajo Nation community, observe Mountain Standard Time (MST) all year long.

@ molly I hope you don't think i don't appreciate your input. Damn discussion boards for being so impersonal (no sound so you can't hear the way we say things). Thanks for letting people know how they can have it all in sync. :)

Just remember there are programmers telling those computers what to do:

There is a 3rd party addon for this but I'm not sure how comprehensive/accurate it is. The phpBB devs made the decision that time adjustments and DST settings would be done manually.

I don't think it is a very big deal to do it manually, one click, thats all, twice a year.
