Saw this on Twitter. Not sure how it was created. Maybe in GIMP, but who knows?

So, who is gonna be first to try it out?

Unfortunately, my great nieces are very much into the Monster High craze and when I saw them last weekend, the 2 of them had colored hair. At least they weren't rainbow like this Tux. lol

My sister scolded me since I questioned why they colored their hair (guess because I'm not around kids, I should keep my opinions of this idiocy to myself I suppose; lol). Oh well; traditionalist I am, so sue me. :)

And you just Ninja'd me Tran. :ninja

here's my try,
just create a blank layer set it color color mode and paint over strands of hair with different colors.

I guess it could look a lot better if i zoomed in and used a smaller brush (I was using 50% brush with a soft edge).

oooooh, i want that hair!!!! but i wouldn't want to sit through all those hours at the hair dressers to get it, though, so it's either a rainbow wig or the gimped version.

You certainly did, OMG. You even provided the caricature to play with.

How about a rainbow Punk Mohican:
