I was walking down stairs ...

and got a glimpse out side the window on the door.
and noticed the tree outside casting a nice shadow on the concrete/manhole/grass.
and thought it was nice so i ran up stairs and got a photo of it.

You have quite the concentration of cougars on Vancouver Island.

I've trekked around quite a bit on Vancouver Island (north of Nanaimo) and never really thought about cougars. I've run into bears in the Tofino area, less in Strathcona Park and the Northern part of the Island. I guess I'd be worried about cougars if I was a deer or a marmot.
