Hello fellow script coders.

I ran into this interesting problem.
https://www.innocentive.com/ar/challeng ... ge=9933493

They give you training data for your algorithm so they're kind'a suggesting that you use neural networks to solve it but i guess it doesn't have to be. You just have to get over 72% to qualify (or get invited into the next round where I am guessing you explain what you did so they can reproduce it and you win the prize).

I have been trying and can't get much higher than 70% (using neural network).

I doubt i'll be able to get higher than 72% but it's fun to try.

537 solvers, only 30 have been using the online scoring website.
You need to get into top 10 and above 72% to get invited into next round.
I am currently placed 16th out of 30 and have a 70%-ish score hehehe

Looks like a company which is trying to get some work done for much less than it would pay qualified consultants for...

That's what a friend of mine thought too, he thought the solution would be worth a lot more than amount given for challenge.

There are plenty of photography contests that work like this. Typically the local Tourism bureau/council trying to obtain a portfolio of nice shots of the area without asking a professional photographer. When you read the fine print in the contest rules, you usually find that by participating you relinquish all rights to the submitted pictures. Oops.
