I know this may seem to be an odd place to post this, but please hear me out.

Nothing too special here, This is a pre-made Live-Render DMG screen effect for use in a Monochromatic game.
For best results, you should limit the shades to 4.

Arrow keys to move around
W and S for Contrast knob.

The entire process involved taking a typical Gameboy-sized screenshot, and resizing it X8 in gimp, then using Render> Grid (Big I know, but this created the best effect)

The face of the gameboy was cut out, and made into two pieces.
Screen, and frame
The screen was set to multiply blending mode.
The Game screen was resized to fit the dimensions I wanted, And the grid placed on top of that and resized to the screen size. and placed under the screen.

After doing this, I took it to the next level, and made something I could use in a live-rendered application.

What is this, is it some kind of game?

Kinda, just without the game part.
As it is, it's a resource that can be used in a game.

Hey, it's one of those things I just do in my spare time, in addition to painting.
You wouldn't believe how hard the screen on this thing is to emulate, nonetheless in real time.
Retroarch being the only other thing I've seen that can do this.

In that case...
I have to give you props for pulling it off so well.
It definitely looks the way it should.
