Google has opened the gates to this year's Doodle contest, and just a gentle reminder to all, this would be a GREAT time to introduce GIMP to children between the ages 10 through 18. Sorry, International folks, I think the contest is USA only. I wish they would have these contests worldwide, as well. (Maybe they do?)

For those of you who have children, grandchildren, (I don't want to say it, but....) or great-grandchildren, please do not be afraid to show them the GIMP software. I've already gotten some of my grandchildren using GIMP and RobA's Divide Scanned Images filter. They are like, "That's so cool!" They doodle, scan, then on GIMP they go.
