A Few Months Back, Microsoft impressed the world with 'Microsoft loves Linux' announcements, including, development of a custom Linux-based OS for running Azure Cloud Switch and selecting Ubuntu as the operating system for its Cloud-based Big Data services.

Now, a renowned Windows Hacker and computer expert, who goes by the name ‘WalkingCat’, discovered that the latest version of Windows 10 may have a Linux subsystem secretly installed inside.

I think they are trying to prevent developers to "go Linux". Most of the code today is written for web servers and these are mostly running Linux (which is also why MS is making a SQL Server for Linux). Having Linux on your workstation makes a lot of things simpler, so many people are tempted to switch.

That's good because Linux is a great OS on it's own that fixes a lot of bugs that Windows innately has.

Yes it has. It's a ubuntu linux subsystem. Not the whole system but you can run cli programs as well as X. :)
You can check on how to install it here: https://www.howtogeek.com/249966/how-to ... indows-10/
