Why can't i find the option to save my custom image as gif? :? :? :? :?
I'm using gimp 2.8.22.

Use the File export as instead of xcf

SAVE your work as .xcf. This will preserve all your layers, etc. If you ever need to edit your work, this is the one to open and work on.

When completed, EXPORT as gif, jpg, png or whatever you need.
